Description

The Vineyard Massacre is a psychological survival horror experience set in the chilling halls of the Sangnoire Estate, where madness has bloomed like the cursed vines that gave the mansion its name. You are Marie, a young vineyard worker, trapped in a night of unspeakable horror. What began as another quiet evening turns into a desperate escape when Julien Sangnoire, the once-respected master of the house, snaps and begins hunting his staff in a frenzy of bloodshed. With no motive, no warning — only screams and the sound of dragging chains — Marie must run, hide, and uncover the twisted secrets that lie beneath the floorboards and behind locked doors.

History

The Vineyard Massacre was born from a deep admiration for horror games like Stay Out of the House and The Murder House. The team set out to create a unique artistic identity, blending a hand-crafted oil painting aesthetic with the raw tension of classic slasher films. This vision gave life to Julien Sangnoire, a ruthless killer whose presence defines the game’s atmosphere. From its earliest concept, The Vineyard aimed to merge psychological horror with visual storytelling in a chilling and unforgettable experience.

Features

  • The Spiritual-Vine Mechanism: Drinking the Sangnoire family wine doesn’t just calm the nerves. It fractures reality, opening doors that weren’t there and revealing visions from the past. But be warned: the more you drink, the harder it becomes to tell what’s real.
  • Julien Listens and Learns: Julien Sangnoire is more than just a killer — he’s a predator. His AI behavior adapts based on your noise, your hiding spots, and your path. Every decision matters. Every sound can be your last.
  • Vintage Survival Puzzle Design: Inspired by early 20th-century machinery, you’ll need to manipulate pressure valves, fuse boxes, mechanical lifts, and coded drawers to open new paths and escape routes. There's no hand-holding here — only tension, logic, and survival.
  • Cinematic Real-Time Horror: Immersive, cut-free storytelling — experience ghostly memories and death sequences in real time, with no breaks in gameplay flow.
  • Explore the Sangnoire Estate: From secret wine cellars to a forgotten chapel deep underground, the estate hides a story of grief, ritual, and madness. Each room brings you closer to the truth… and closer to Julien.
  • A Distinct Horror Aesthetic: A moody 3D world soaked in dread, blending historical realism with unnatural beauty — overgrown vines, flickering oil lamps, and the bloodstained walls of a once-noble house.
